The vineyards benefit from a unique interplay of the cool influences of the Gran Sasso mountain range, the proximity to the Adriatic Sea, and the characteristic soils of Abruzzo. The Bellovedere Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Terre dei Vestini Riserva is the estate's flagship wine. It comes exclusively from the two-hectare single-vineyard "Bellovedere" and is produced only in exceptional vintages. After careful hand-harvesting, the wine matures for approximately 18 months in wood and concrete before being bottled unfiltered. The result is a powerful, complex Montepulciano with intense aromas of dark berries, herbs, coffee, and cocoa, as well as a long, elegant finish.
With the Spelt Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva, La Valentina presents another impressive interpretation of the Montepulciano grape variety. The wine combines intense fruit, subtle spice, and elegant tannins with remarkable balance and has been among the most renowned red wines of Abruzzo for years. It exemplifies the winery's philosophy of uncompromisingly prioritizing origin and character.
La Valentina's Pecorino impressively demonstrates the potential of this traditional white grape variety.
