In southeastern Sicily, in the area around Vittoria, the historic Cutrera and Bastianich families have joined forces to create Akrille, a collection of wines that reflects the authenticity, tradition, and diversity of this unique landscape. The fusion of Sicilian winemaking history and international experience unites two distinct perspectives with a shared goal: to produce authentic wines deeply rooted in their origin and terroir. Shaped by the Mediterranean climate, calcareous and sandy soils, and the influence of the nearby sea, these wines are characterized by intense fruit, elegance, and a distinctive Sicilian identity.

Akrille's philosophy is rooted in a profound respect for nature, tradition, and the unique terroir of Sicily. Each grape variety is cultivated and vinified with meticulous care to best express its individual character and typical qualities. The portfolio includes some of Sicily's most important indigenous grape varieties. Nero d'Avola boasts intense aromas of dark berries, delicate spice notes, and a harmonious structure. The elegant Frappato impresses with its fresh fruitiness, floral nuances, and exceptional lightness. Together, these two grape varieties form the basis for the renowned Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG – Sicily's only DOCG wine appellation and one of the island's most prestigious red wine designations.

Akrille's white wines also reflect the diversity of the Sicilian terroir. Grillo delights with fresh citrus aromas, floral notes, and a pleasant minerality, while Catarratto Lucido impresses with its balanced fruit, freshness, and Mediterranean character. Both wines are excellent accompaniments to fish, seafood, and light Mediterranean dishes. The portfolio is rounded out by Frabolla Brut Rosé, an elegant sparkling wine made from Frappato, which delights with its fine bubbles and fruity freshness.
