Marchesi Fumanelli's Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Octavius 2018 is the winery's flagship and is only produced in the best vintages. The grapes come from the oldest vineyards of the historic family estate and are dried for several months using the traditional Appassimento method. The long maturation in oak barrels gives the wine its exceptional structure, concentration, and elegance.

The nose reveals intense aromas of dried cherries, plums, wild berries, and raisins, accompanied by notes of cocoa, dark chocolate, tobacco, oriental spices, and fine balsamic nuances. On the palate, the wine is powerful and complex with silky tannins, remarkable concentration, and perfect balance. The long, complex finish reveals ever new facets and underlines the enormous aging potential of this exceptional wine.
