The Ried Hocheck Pinot Noir Reserve 2022 from Weingut Dürnberg comes from one of the best sites around Falkenstein. The sandy limestone soils and the south-eastern orientation offer ideal conditions for Pinot Noir. After selective hand-picking, cold maceration, and gentle fermentation, the wine matures for twelve months in new French oak barrels and then at least another year in the bottle. This creates a Pinot Noir of exceptional elegance, depth, and aging potential.

On the nose, ethereal aromas of raspberries, sour cherries, and orange zest unfold, accompanied by fine vanilla and mineral notes. On the palate, the wine presents itself as vibrant and precise with silky tannins, an elegant structure, and an impressive balance between fruit and spice. The long, animating finish underlines the Burgundian character of this exceptional Pinot Noir.
