The Ried Heiligenstein 1ÖTW Riesling 2023 from Weingut Eichinger comes from one of Austria's most famous Riesling sites. The barren soils of approximately 250 million-year-old desert sandstone and volcanic rocks lend the wine its unmistakable minerality and immense tension. After a short maceration period, the wine ferments for five weeks in stainless steel tanks and then matures on its full lees until bottling. The result is an expressive Riesling with great elegance and remarkable aging potential.

On the nose, intense aromas of vineyard peach, citrus fruits, and fine herbs unfold. On the palate, the wine presents itself as taut and precise with crystal-clear acidity, elegant fruit sweetness, and pronounced minerality. The salty, exceptionally long finish underscores the unique character of Heiligenstein and makes this Riesling an excellent food companion.
